About Me
I grew up between two worlds. Born and raised in Surabaya, Indonesia to a Filipino mother and an Indonesian father who had both moved to the United States for school — I always felt like I was caught somewhere in between. One question has followed me ever since: why does where you're born determine what you have access to?
That question followed me to Stanford, where I studied Computer Science with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction and AI. It followed me to Meta, where I worked on Creator Monetization — building tools so that any person with an internet connection, anywhere in the world, could build a livelihood for themselves.
Then the pandemic hit, and that question got louder. The contrast between what was available in the US and what was available back home — in testing, in care, in information — was painful to witness. I left Meta to do something about it - and that question followed me to Sirona Medical, where I helped build the first cloud-native radiology platform that runs entirely in a browser. This meant any clinic, anywhere in the world, can access the same AI-powered radiology tools as the best-resourced hospitals on the planet.
But bridging the gap means nothing if what's on the other side isn't worth crossing for. Good enough was never the goal — actually good was. Thoughtful, intuitive, worth coming back to. That shouldn't be something only certain people get to experience. The best technology should work beautifully for everyone, whatever their circumstances.
That's what I build toward.
